HL2: Short Stories – Human Error Released
12:08 PM February 8, 2010 By: Hectic Glenn | In: Mods | 6 Comments
We have already mentioned this release in our round-up but with HLSS being one of our favourite mods, with our local residents Au Heppa & Samon being on the team we can't help but want to spread word a little further. Human Error is one of the episodes part of the HLSS series. You play as part of a Civil Protection fighting the remaining Xenians on earth, with the ability to drive APCs and control manhacks.
Look out for the notable other CP characters: Eloise, Noah and Larson. Only this week were we introduced to Larson (voiced by Phillip of Planetphillip) in the song "This is Larson" written by Jonathan Lewis. You can download Human Error from the Half-life 2: Short stories website - ensure you get the full 1.0.2 installer or 1.0 and the patch. |

Team Fortress 2 Update Released.
6:03 PM February 3, 2010 By: dekstar | In: Team Fortress 2 | 9 Comments
A new update has revealed an intriguing-sounding game-mode for Team Fortress 2. The game-mode is called "Highlander mode", and restricts the game to 9v9, with one class per player. It seems to be for competitive play, though chances are we will see it cropping up in experimental public servers very soon. If you have a 'Highlander' game, why not post your impressions of it in the comments?
Along with the new game-mode, Valve have updated a few of the maps, stopping various exploits and performance issues. Here are a few of the note-worthy updates:

Team Fortress 2 Propaganda Contest Runners-Up
7:50 AM February 3, 2010 By: Hectic Glenn | In: Team Fortress 2 | 9 Comments
The TF2 blog has a mighty long list of honourable mentions for other entries to the propaganda contest held recently. They were swamped with 11,000 submissions which left plenty of other entries without the kudos they perhaps deserved.
Check out the blog to see some Valve style humour with the awards they've designated the remaining entries. It is rumoured all the mentioned runners-up of the competition won a T-shirt. ![]() |
